I am an Associate Professor at Eskisehir Osmangazi University (ESOGU), Department of Computer Engineering.
I received my MSc degree on a Fulbright scholarship from Rochester Institute of Technology, NY, USA in Electrical Engineering in 2010. I also earned my Ph.D. from the Microsystems Engineering Department of the same university in 2015. Following my doctorate, I gained industrial experience in various companies as a Senior Engineer in the USA.
My initial industrial experience was in manufacturing fault detection, classification, and process control at the world-renowned GLOBALFOUNDRIES microchip manufacturing factory in New York. Subsequently, I continued my career as a Senior Data Scientist at the R&D center of ASML-HMI, located in Silicon Valley, USA. In 2019, I returned to Türkiye as part of the TÜBİTAK project call 2232 International Leading Researchers Program, also referred to as the reverse brain drain program. Upon my return, I began my academic position as a faculty member in the Computer Engineering Department of Eskişehir Osmangazi University. I received my Associate Professorship (Doçent) title in August 2023, and in April 2023, I was elected as a Senior member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers).
In 2023, I was elected to the NVIDIA University Ambassador Program and became a qualified NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute Certified Program Instructor. This role allows me to conduct educational workshops in the field of deep learning and offer official NVIDIA certification in academic settings.
